Preschool Thanksgiving Activities

Like most of the crafts that we feature, these Thanksgiving activities and crafts don’t use a lot of complicated materials.

They focus more on the fun and the fine motor skills that your preschooler will build than the expensive and fancy supplies. In fact, we’re pretty much opposed to extravagant supplies because crafts should be fun – not stressful or pricey!

So, what should you expect from these Thanksgiving activities?

Expect that there will be some cutting, some gluing, some paint (if you opt for those crafts), and a whole lot of talking about what Thanksgiving is and why we celebrate it on the fourth Thursday of every November.

What You’ll Need for These Thanksgiving Activities

As we said, there are no fancy supplies needed for these crafts and activities. For the most part, depending on which ones you select, these are the basic supplies that the majority of the following crafts require:

  • kid-friendly scissors
  • glue sticks
  • construction paper
  • tissue paper
  • cardboard tubes
  • markers or crayons

There are other things like feathers, paint, etc. that some of the crafts do require so be sure to read the complete supply list before tackling any of the crafts.

There’s nothing worse than being halfway into a craft only to discover you don’t have something that you need to finish it!

Time goes by very quickly and before you know it, your preschoolers will be heading off to college.

Taking the time now to do some simple crafts that you can hang onto over the years will make the transition to growing up a little bit easier for all of you.
