- the spiral knot

And the best part is, once they are mastered, you can go on to learn more knots and challenge yourself to create more intricate projects. As we know, beginning macrame can sometimes feel a little overwhelming. Don’t let that discourage you! Focus on learning one knot at a time, and then move on.
Many of the greatest macrame pieces were knotted, unknotted, and knotted again before they were made into the beautiful works of art that they were intended to be. (Our first coasters looked like octopi – true story!)
