Car Template
We tried a bunch freehand drawing a bunch of cars for this craft, but none of them were as cute as this printable car template that we made.
The basic shape and design of this template make it perfect for preschoolers or lower elementary students who are working on Letter C crafts or doing a transportation unit study.
The template provides a lot of fine motor skills practice – those tires can be tricky!
Not only does the cutting give kids a hand workout, but the coloring is another opportunity to strengthen those hand muscles in preparation for writing.
You could also use the template pieces as tracing pieces and cut your car out of construction paper.
We love all sorts of paper crafts, so there’s really no wrong way to make your car!
If you’re homeschooling, this is great to use as a one of the free choice learning ideas for your little learners!
Making Your Car Craft

- Crayons or Markers
- Scissors
- Glue
Instructions
- Print out the car template.
- Color in the car, headlight, and taillight.
- Cut out the pieces.
- Glue the wheels, headlight, and taillight onto the car.
- Let dry and enjoy!
